French Night

Downtown Matthews (213 N Trade St)

Red Brick Partnership, an organization of downtown businesses, sponsors an event on the first Thursday of every month.  This month, the theme is French Night. It is FREE to attend.  Downtown businesses will be featuring French-themed food specials, drink specials, family activities, petanque, and entertainment along Trade Street and Matthews Station Street.  There is plenty of free parking along both of those streets as well as a large parking lot between the railroad tracks and Seaboard Taproom and Winebar (213 N Trade St) across Trade Street from Old Depot Ln.. We look forward to meeting members of Alliance Francaise and Carolina Petanque and hope you will come join the fun and festivities starting around 5:30 pm.

International film festival Experience the rich world of contemporary films from China, Columbia, Cuba, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Peru, Russia, Spain, Syria, Turkey, and Venezuela at the International Film Festival hosted by the UNC Charlotte Department of Languages and Culture Studies and the Chinese, French, German, Iranian, Nihon, Russian and Spanish student organizations.

The festival and related special events are free and open to the public, and all films are subtitled.

Chandeleur

Bring some crêpes to share with us for the Chandeleur. We will take some time to reheat and flip your crêpes in the kitchen, to get some luck for the rest of the year! It will be an all about crêpes event, and crêpes will no longer have any secrets for you!

Don't forget to bring some crêpes: Free event for members, $2.00 for non members
