The Charlotte Francophone Festival's mission is to promote the French language by raising awareness of the richness and diversity of Francophone cultures from around the world. Every year in March, Francophone Festivals are organized around the world, featuring a variety of cultural and educational events.

This year the AFC organize its 2nd Festival about Francophone Cuisine and Gastronomy!

When : SATURDAY MARCH 21 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Payments by checks and cash are possible if received at least one week prior to the event  - 

Tickets for AF Members: at $20 for adults, at $15 for under 18, at $8 for under 12 and free for under 5 years old.

Tickets for AF non Members: at $30 for adults, at $20 for under 18, at $12 for under 12 and at $3 for under 5 years old.

Gratuities and taxes included.

  1.  TADJINE: from MORROCCO – ALGERIA - TUNISIA

A tadjine is a traditional Maghrebi dish which is named after the earthenware pot in which it is cooked. This tadjine is a Beef stew with dry fruits (apricots / prunes) and almond served with couscous and veggies

  1. COQ AU VIN : from FRANCE

A classic French stew in which chicken is braised slowly in red wine and a little brandy to yield a supremely rich sauce filled with tender meat, crisp bits of bacon, mushrooms and burnished pearl onions served with riz pilaf

  1. JAMBALAYA: from NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA

A popular Louisiana-origin dish of French, Spanish and West African influence, the meat includes sausage, along with pork or chicken and seafood, such as shrimp; meat and vegetables mixed with rice.

  1. VEGETARIAN MEAL from LEBANON / BELGIUM

Tabbouleh (traditional Lebanese salad of chopped parsley, diced tomatoes, onion, mint and crushed wheat) / Moutabal (smoked eggplants) / Batata Harra (cubed potatoes sautéed in garlic, coriander and chili ) / Falafel (crispy deep-fried croquettes of ground chickpea, fava beans and spicy herds ) / Crispy Brussels sprout

  1. CHILDREN MENU:  CHICKEN KEBAB

Marinated chicken cubes charcoal-grilled with garlic sauce served with couscous and veggies

CHEESE PLATTER – BREAD – CRACKERS (gluten free)

Ticket à $25 pour les membres de l'AF et $30 pour les non membres, seulement $20 pour les moins de 18 ans and $10 pour les moins de 13 ns, gratuit pour les moins de 6 ans. Pourboires inclus. Taxe incluse.

un choix de 2 plats principaux: Tadjine du Maroc, Cassoulet du South de la France, Jambalaya de la New Orleans US et plus encore.
